Hickam Harbor is a great place to learn new things while you’re here in Hawaii, such as sailing, surfing, snorkeling, paddleboarding and kayaking. Take advantage of the knowledgeable staff and all that Outdoor Recreation has to offer. Don’t miss out on these once-in-a-lifetime opportunities!

    Sailing Classes:

    Adult Classes-  

    Start Sailing Right-Saturdays (excludes holidays) 9:00-12:00 or 13:00-16:00

    Learn to sail at Hickam Harbor!  Course consists of classroom theory and on-the-water group instruction.  Maximum of 2 students per course.

    Course begins August 1, 2020

    $150 per student

     

    Small Boat Sailing- Wednesdays & Fridays (excludes holidays) 9:30-12:00

    Come sail at Hickam Harbor!  Learn to rig and sail small sailboats.  No experience required.  Minimum 4 maximum 8 students per class.

    Course begins July 8, 2020

    $150 per student

     

    Private Lessons- Learn sailing with a personal 2 hour lesson with a certified instructor.  Limited availability must reserve 7 days prior to activity date.  Maximum 2 students per lesson. $60 per student

     

    Boat Checkouts- Already an experienced sailor and want to rent our boats?  Sailing card expired?  Come successfully demonstrate your ability to sail our boats and navigate our harbor to earn your sailing card. Must reserve 7 days prior to activity date. $60 for 2 hour slot

     

    Rentals-  

    Friday  9:30-11:30/12:00-14:00/14:30-16:30

    Saturday 9:30-11:30/12:00-14:00/14:30-16:30

    Sunday  9:30-11:30/12:00-14:00/14:30-16:30

    3 boats available per 2-hour time blocks. 

    Due to limited quantities, early sign-ups are recommended. 2-hour minimum rental required.

    Payment is required at time of sign-up to secure time slot.  Call for current rates. Cancellations within 48 hours forfeit all money paid. Must possess a current sailing check out card (checkout must be within the last year, 365 days)
