The JBPHH MWR Arts and Crafts Center provides off-duty leisure time activities for active-duty military personnel, dependents, DoD personnel, retirees, their dependents, and guests. 

What We Do:

- Offer professional engraving, ceramics, pottery, and woodworking services

- Conduct a variety of art and craft instructional classes to both adults and youth. See class schedule for details

- Operate resale art and craft supply store

- Operate a vehicle resale lot

- Promote and display military community art and photography exhibits for JBPHH

- Host events including bi-annual Open House in March and December, bi-annual Craft Fairs in May and November, Family Dog Show in July

The store is also where patrons can purchase supplies for their classes or register to display their cars in the Vehicle Resale Lot across the street.

VEHICLE RESALE LOT

PCS-ing soon and need to sell one of your vehicles?  MWR has the service you need - the Vehicle Resale Lot (Located on Kuntz Ave., across the street from the Hickam Arts & Crafts Center.) Required documents include:  valid military ID or DoD ID card, valid vehicle registration, proof of insurance. All documents must be in the name of the ID card holder.  Fees: All vehicles are $12 per week.  Registration is done at the Arts & Crafts Retail Sales Store.

Offers Plaques & Awards sales and Custom Engraving Service.

Quality, custom laser engraving and sublimation is what you’ll find here. Glass, acrylic, wood and other materials can be turned into going-away gifts, commemorative keepsakes, awards and more. Each work is uniquely individual and customized to fit your needs. Even with a seven-day turnaround, the staff creates pieces that will stand out. We put a more decorative touch because we want it to be special. Be sure to check out what we can do with sublimation, a process that permanently bonds almost any image you want to tiles and even metal to create stunning, personal pieces of art.

Pick-N-Paint Ceramics

You pick it, you paint it, we fire it. It’s easy!
All ages and all experience levels welcome—great kids’ activity but fun for adults too!

Reserve your time slot online for a delightful relaxing creative experience. Choose wonderful ceramics pieces and create your design using our glazes, stencils, sponges, and brushes. We fire your piece and have it ready for you in 14-21 days. A perfect place for friends and family to get creative together. Have a little one? Put your child’s handprint or footprint on a plate or tray for a lasting memory.

Pottery Classes in wheel and hand-building. Glass studio, fusion and slumping classes. 

Expert instructors guide people from “I can’t do that” to a level of confidence that keeps them coming back for more.

We do parties! Birthdays, baby, bridal, you name it. $50 for three hours. Purchase any piece for you and your guests to paint and enjoy a unique celebration!

WOOD SHOP

Offers Wood Working Service and Self Help Center.

A little different from the others, the Wood Shop is geared more towards the “self-helper.” Take the three-hour safety class to earn your qualification card. You can then utilize the shop to work on your own projects. A wonderful variety of wood working equipment is available for customer usage for a very reasonable fee. Be sure to check out the available classes where you can learn to make pens, and decorative cutting boards. We also produce custom order items to include, but not limited to, coin holders, specialized plaques and shadow boxes.

No infants or children are permitted in classes for adults. No adults are permitted in classes for children.

Please Note:
Refunds will ONLY be given when:
1.  A class must be cancelled by the instructor or the Arts and Crafts Center
2.  With a 72-hour notification of TDY/PCS and a copy of orders
3.  In case of illness with a doctor's certification that the individual is unable to attend class and no more than 50% of the class has been attended
