Youth Surf Camp, White Plains Beach

OCT 12-15

Cost: $100

Learn how to surf with our excellent instructors. What better a location than here in Hawaii to learn a skill that these Islands are known for? We are offering two sessions (0700-0900 & 0900-1100). Ages 13-17.

 

Historical Bike Tour

Dec. 4

900-1100 & 1200-1400

Cost: $20

Join us as we travel around JBPHH and discover the hidden stories and facts behind the historical Hickam air field and Pearl Harbor. Our guide will take us through a journey in time to gain a new appreciation and understanding of what happened. We will visit the original buildings, scarred with bullet holes that remind us of the time never to be forgotten.

 

Youth Ocean Adventure Day

Cost: $100

The kids have the day off! What better way to spend the day with the Outdoor Recreation staff doing fun ocean activities for the day such as rock climbing, kayaking, outrigger canoeing, swimming, fishing and all other related ocean activities (Activities will vary depending on weather and ocean conditions permitting). And as a parent, what better way than to spend the day not having to worry about what the kids are going to do when school is out. Ages for this day camp is 9 to 15. Space is limited.

 

Youth Ocean Adventure Winter Camp

Dec 20-23

A: Keiki (ages 7-9): 9am-Noon

B: Youth (ages 10-15): 1-4pm

Cost: $150

Join the Hickam Beach staff as we share the aloha and Hawaiian fun. There will be a variety of ocean activities, including swimming, fishing, kayaking, rock climbing and more. Each session will vary depending on weather, ocean conditions and abilities of the group.

 

 

Moon light Paddle at Hickam Harbor

Cost: $30 per person

 

What better way to melt the day-to-day stress than to join us for an evening paddle. As the moon lights our way across the water, enjoy the company of the group and the stillness of the water and let our guides lead the way. Trip includes all required gear. Bring water and dry clothes to change into after the activity. All paddling abilities welcomed.

Open Ocean Canoe Paddle to Iroquois Point

Join us on an intensive paddle workout as we paddle out of Hickam Harbor to open ocean and over to Iroquois point and back. Participants should be in good physical condition and able to swim.

Sailing Classes:

Adult Classes-  

Start Sailing Right-Saturdays (excludes holidays) 9:00-12:00 or 13:00-16:00

Learn to sail at Hickam Harbor!  Course consists of classroom theory and on-the-water group instruction.  Maximum of 2 students per course.

$175 per student

 

Small Boat Sailing- Wednesdays & Fridays (excludes holidays) 9:30-12:00

Come sail at Hickam Harbor!  Learn to rig and sail small sailboats.  No experience required.  Minimum 4 maximum 8 students per class.

$175 per student

 

Private Lessons- Learn sailing with a personal 2 hour lesson with a certified instructor.  Limited availability must reserve 7 days prior to activity date.  $80 for 1 person and $120 for a family lesson (maximum of 3 people)

 

Boat Checkouts- Already an experienced sailor and want to rent our boats?  Sailing card expired?  Come successfully demonstrate your ability to sail our boats and navigate our harbor to earn your sailing card. Must reserve 7 days prior to activity date. $50 for 2 hour slot

3 boats available per 2-hour time blocks. 

Due to limited quantities, early sign-ups are recommended. 2-hour minimum rental required.

Payment is required at time of sign-up to secure time slot.  Call for current rates. Cancellations within 48 hours forfeit all money paid. Must possess a current sailing check out card (checkout must be within the last year, 365 days)
