Introducing 24/7 Access! 

Our facility has been upgraded to support 24/7 access for eligible DoD ID cardholders. 
Ready to register? Just visit the Fitness Center front counter with your ID and they’ll handle the rest! 

Group Exercise class schedule is currently being updated.  For up-to-date information on the classes, visit the fitness center or call 808-471-2019.

Hours of Operation
Mon - Fri: 5 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Sat - Sun:  7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

MWR Offers several fitness facilities for your use, with certain times having higher traffic/ guest patronage. The following hours are considered “Peak Times:” 
0500-0800; 1100-1300; 1500-1800
The following hours are considered “Optimal Times” or have lower traffic/ guest patronage:
0800-1100; 1300-1500; 1800-2030

Ford Island Fitness Center
Makalapa Fitness Center
West Loch Fitness Center

This 62,413 square feet facility features cutting edge technology that makes it one of the best fitness centers in the service. With energy efficient lighting and recycled materials used to build parts at this facility, MWR hopes to perpetuate efforts for healthy living.

Basketball court is authorized for use by youth ages 9-11 with an accompanying adult on Saturdays and Sundays between 1 - 5 p.m.  NOTE:  availability may be affected during intramural sports seasons (basketball, volleyball) or special events.  Contact front desk staff for more information.

*Multi-station rig

Brand new, state-of-the-art equipment for traditional weight lifting and functional training. Multiple exercise stations with 76 attachments to perform over 100 different exercises, including pull-ups, deadlifts, overhead presses, TRX, wall ball tosses, dips and rope climbing.

A complete full body workout in one space, without the need to move from one end of the gym to another. The attachments can be easily added and removed, allowing everybody to use it for their specific exercise needs.

Anybody over 16 years can use this equipment. The fitness specialists and staff members can provide assistance as well as safety orientation upon request.
