The JBPHH MWR Arts and Crafts Center provides off-duty leisure time activities for active duty military personnel, dependents, DoD personnel, retirees, their dependents and guests. 

What We Do:

- Offer professional framing, engraving, ceramics, pottery and wood working services

- Conduct a variety of art and craft instructional classes to both adults and youth. See class schedule for details

- Operate resale art and craft supply store

- Operate a vehicle resale lot

- Promote and display base-level art and photography exhibits for JBPHH

- Host bi-annual Open House events in March and December, and bi-annual Craft Fair events in May and November.

*Beginning May 14 the Wood Shop Hours will change on Tuesday-Thursday to 1-8pm.

*Wheel Throwing on Fridays and Saturdays, schedule print error: It states that the class runs from 6-8:30, but actually it’s from 9-11:30 am.

*Please be sure to bring your registration to the first day of class.

No infants or children are permitted in classes for adults. No adults are permitted in classes for children.

Please Note:
Refunds will ONLY be given when:
1.  A class must be cancelled by the instructor or the Arts and Crafts Center
2.  With a 72 hour notification of TDY/PCS and a copy of orders
3.  In case of illness with a doctor's certification that the individual is unable to attend class and no more than 50% of the class has been attended
For a refund please contact the Arts & Crafts Center Admin office at 808-448-9907. 
Sorry, we cannot transfer you to another class.

Offers scrapbook and Paper Crafting Supplies - Youth Craft Supplies and Kits -  Fabric, Yarn and Notions – Jewelry & Beading Supplies - Basic Fine Art & Craft Supplies – Cake Decorating Supplies – Home Décor Supplies 

Crafters and artists of all types will find a super selection of supplies at our store. Whether it’s sewing, fine arts, cake decorating, paper crafts, jewelry and more, you’ll find it here for a great price. New items are brought in regularly. We are constantly looking for new things to carry and vary our inventory to appeal to new groups.

Recent additions include a home décor section and a model section. But far and away the most popular items are the kid’s crafts.  People are always looking for things to do with their kids. The store is also where patrons can sign up for classes, apply for a booth for upcoming craft fairs, or register to display their cars in the Vehicle Resale Lot across the street.

Offers full service Custom Framing and Self Help Center

In addition to framing prints, original artwork, photographs, and memorabilia, we also specialize in shadowboxing, textiles and other unique custom framing techniques. We offer hundreds of frame and matting options. Our expert staff will help you personalize your choices to fit the art and your décor.

Prefer to do-it-yourself? Sign up for the Basic Picture Framing class and we'll show you options along with the how-to, and together will instruct you in the design and fabrication of your own framed piece which will certify you to use the shop for self-help during our business hours.

Offers Pick and Paint area for purchasing bisque ware, Self Help Center, glazing, and firing services. Pottery Classes in wheel and hand-building. Glass studio, fusion and slumping classes. Vehicle Resale

PCS-ing soon and need to sell one of your vehicles?  MWR has the service you need - the Vehicle Resale Lot (Located on Kuntz Ave., across the street from the Hickam Arts & Crafts Center.) 

Required documents include:  valid military ID or DoD ID card, valid vehicle registration, proof of insurance. 

All documents must be in the name of the ID card holder.  Fees: All vehicles are now $12 per week (Beginning July 1, 2019).  Registration done at the Arts & Crafts Retail Sales Store.

Woodworking Shop

Offers Wood Working Service and Self Help Center.

A little different from the others, the Wood Shop is geared more towards the “self-helper.” Take the three-hour safety class, available every Saturday, to earn your qualification card. You can then utilize the shop to work on your own projects. A wonderful variety of wood working equipment is available for customer usage for a very reasonable fee. Be sure to check out the available classes where you can learn to make pens, boxes, decorative cutting boards and even rocking chairs. We also produce custom order items to include coin holders, specialized plaques and shadow boxes.
