Unaccompanied Personnel

Hawaii Regional Bachelor Housing manages and operates all Navy bachelor housing on the island of Oahu. With over 5,800 beds located in 63 facilities, Hawaii Regional BH is one of the Navy’s largest lodging operations for unaccompanied and visiting DoD personnel in the Pacific. All personnel with Navy-funded orders on temporary duty should contact Scheduled Airlines Traffic Office (SATO) or their servicing Personnel Support Detachment (PSD) for reservations.  Please contact our Reservations Clerk if you have any questions.

Community Housing
PPV Housing is not your only opportunity for quality housing.  At any point during this visit or future visits we can help you with your home finding needs.  The Housing Service Office (HSO) provides a wide range of services.

The HSO website (https://www.ahrn.com) is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and is free and totally self-service--both by those searching for properties and those listing properties.  Those seeking rental properties can view photos, maps and detailed descriptions of property listings.  Information included on the website also shows available amenities, dates, prices and mileage from military installations.  The Navy Aloha Center staff can also provide rental listing from the HSO website.  HSO services include in-depth briefings on renting in the community, scheduling appointments to view rentals, transportation to view prospective rentals, lease review, complaint mediation, discrimination complaint processing, inspecting rentals for adequacy, rental listings, BAH rates, school information, in-depth maps of Oahu, security deposit waiver information (utilities), and information on the Housing Relocation Assistance Program (HRAP).

HSO is located in Building 1004, 111 7th Street, Fort Shafter, Hawaii  96858.  Assistance is provided from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, except the first and third Thursday of each month when assistance begins at 9:00 am.  For more information, contact the HSO Fort Shafter Office at, (808) 438-0149, (808) 438-3820 and (808) 438-6198.

Barracks/Dorms
Your Navy Region Hawaii Bachelor Housing welcomes Geographical Bachelors (GB) as personnel ordered to Navy Region Hawaii who, by choice or circumstance, have decided that their dependents will continue to live in another geographic area. GBs are receiving BAH at the “with dependents” rate. They are not normally authorized to live in UH, however, we do have a limited number of spaces available for GBs. GBs must submit an application that will be reviewed by the Assignment Review Board. If approved, the GB will be placed on the waiting list and offered UH when it becomes available. GBs may also apply to be RAs.
