Look no further to get out and get active, right here on base!  Outdoor Recreation (ODR) at Hickam Beach lets you take advantage of the great location to enjoy activities in the warm Hawaiian waters for our own harbor.  From sailing to surfing, stand up paddleboarding to fishing and more, ODR  has expert guides ready to show you how to make the most out your time while in Hawaii.

OUTDOOR TOURS

Surfing Classes:  Hawaii is the surf capital of the world so what better place to learn than right here?  Our professional instructors teach you the basics from standing and paddling out to catching and angling down the wave.
Snorkeling:  Join us as we explore the outside reef at Hickam Harbor.  A completely different way to go sightseeing, our expert leaders will show you some of the interesting sealife lurkign beneath the surface.
Fishing/Spearfishing:    When you're surrounded by water, fishing naturally becomes an activity to try.  If you like to relax, come on one our Bottom Fishing tours and enjoy the company of others on the boat as you all try to land the big one.  If you're more of a hunter, Spear Fishing is as exciting and challenging as it sounds.  You are the hunter pursuing your prey in their environment.  If you don't know how, we offer monthly classes on spear fishing, covering everything from physiology and technique to state rules and regulations and what fish to look for.
Custom Tours:  Are you interested in going on one of our activities, but the schedules don't match up?  Gather some friends and family and book a custom tour with us!  Minimum six people to book; some restrictions apply.  Call 808-449-5215 for more information.

GEAR RENTAL

Don't own a surfboard and want to rent one for lessons? Or maybe you already took a Stand Up Paddle Board lesson and you want to try it on your own but don't want to purchase all the equipment.  ODR is here to provide you with all the equipment you need.  Visit MWR's Hickam Beach page for more information.

PATIO RENTALS
