Arts & Crafts Center
The JBPHH MWR Arts and Crafts Center provide off-duty leisure time activities for active duty military personnel, dependents, DOD personnel, retirees, their dependents and guests. It provides complete arts and crafts development and service facilities, to include industrial arts, fine arts and hobby crafts. Our program supports family cohesion, builds self-esteem and self-reliance, and provides alternative leisure time activities, which develops the individual’s creative skills. Always focused on safety, customer service, customer value, customer self expression and personal development.
What We Do
- Offer professional framing, engraving, ceramics, pottery and woodworking services
- Conduct a variety of art and craft instructional classes for both adults and youth. See class schedule for details
- Operate resale art and craft supply store
- Operate a vehicle resale lot
- Promote and display base-level art and photography exhibits for JBPHH
- Host bi-annual Open House events in March and December, and bi-annual Craft Fair events in May and November.

Classes
Learn to make a jewelry box. Fused glass, painting, pottery, quilting, origami, sewing, drawing and even photography and cake decorating are just some of the classes offered through the Arts & Crafts Center. Classes for children, teens and adults are available. Discover your creative side or just learn a fun new hobby. Pick and Paint
Price: Depends on the piece chosen
You pick it, you paint it, we fire it. It’s easy! No experience necessary. Reservations- Book here. All ages and all experience levels welcome—great kid's activity but fun for adults too! Choose wonderful ceramics pieces and create your design using our stencils, sponges, and brushes. Paint your piece with our non-toxic glaze colors. We fire your piece in our kiln and have it ready for you in two weeks. All pieces are food safe after firing. A perfect place for friends and family to get creative together. Have a little one? Put your child’s handprint or footprint on a plate or tray for a lasting memory.
Our shelves are filled with unpainted ceramics. A wide selection of figures is available that are fun for the kids. We carry perfect gifts for adults like kitchenware, garden and wall décor, pet accessories and tropical things. There's something for everyone. You can pick any colors you like, colors of ceramics look different when fired so choose from the tile color samples. Pick your paint and take your piece to one of the many tables where you can start your masterpiece.
Prices range from $1 to $35 and include paint, brushes and other helpful decorating tools, glazing and firing fees. That basically means you can sit there and work on your piece with anything you need, without paying extra. Timeslots are currently limited to 2 hours.

Have your child’s next birthday party at the Arts & Crafts Center! We provide a private room where you bring your own refreshments before the kids take part in fun Pick & Paint Ceramics. Some other conditions apply. Call the center for more information.

Vehicle Resale

PCS-ing soon and need to sell one of your vehicles? MWR has the service you need - the Vehicle Resale Lot. Required documents include a valid military ID or DoD ID card, valid vehicle registration, proof of insurance. All documents must be in the name of the ID card holder. Fees: $8.00 per week, with 1 to 2 week contracts. Registration is done at the Arts & Crafts Retail Sales Store.
