Arts & Crafts Kid-Specific Classes

We offer classes perfectly suited for the child discovering their artistic side.  Ages start as young as 7 years and some classes are set up specifically for even younger ones to participate with their parent.  

 

After School Watercolor Classes with Jeff Sanders

One class per week for six weeks

Tuesdays, 3:45 – 5:15 p.m.

Ages 7 and up

$70 per person (plus cost of supplies)

Aug 5 – Sept 9

Sept 16 – Oct 21

Oct 28 – Dec 9 (NOTE: there is no class Nov. 11)

In this class, youth will paint a watercolor wheel; learn color theory as we mix the paints and their components. Brush techniques and paper information will be taught as they paint.

 

Home School Watercolor Classes with Jeff Sanders

One class per week for six weeks

Thursdays, 1:30 – 3:00 p.m.

Ages 8 and up

$70 per person (plus cost of supplies)

Aug 7 – Sept 11

Sept 18 – Oct 23

Oct 30 – Dec 11 (NOTE: there is no class Nov. 27)

In this class, youth will paint a watercolor wheel; learn color theory as we mix the paints and their components. Brush techniques and paper information will be taught as they paint.

 

Young Artist Hand Building with Clay with Rochelle Lum

One class per week for four weeks

Tuesdays, 3:00 – 4:30 p.m.

Ages 7 - 12

$45 per person (plus supplies)

Aug 5 – 26

Oct 7 – 28

Nov 4 – Dec 2 (Note: there is no class Nov 11)

This class is perfect for the young artist interested in learning basic pottery techniques: pinch-pots, coil building, etc.  Students will also learn about the underglaze and glaze technique by learning the entire process and how clay is transformed.

 

Parent and Child Hand Building with Clay with Rochelle Lum

One class per week for four weeks

Tuesdays, 4:45 – 6:00 p.m.

Ages 4-6 accompanied by a parent

$45 per person (plus supplies)

Aug 5 – 26

Oct 7 – 28

Nov 4 – Dec 2 (Note: there is no class Nov 11)

This class is perfect for parents and children to enjoy learning how to work with clay.  Basic hand-building techniques will enhance fine motor skills and dexterity of young ones as well as teach parent and child about working with clay and glazes.
