Marcus Smart's Youth Basketball Clinic & Adult Mindfulness Program
NBA player Marcus Smart is bringing his YounGameChanger (YGC) Foundation to Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam and will be hosting an event in partnership with MWR and CYP that will appeal to both kids and adults.
The YGC Hoops Academy Youth Basketball Clinic & Adult Mindfulness Program is coming to JBPHH on Friday, June 27. Youth ages 8–18 can participate in the basketball clinic, while the parents are welcome to join the mindfulness/yoga session at the same session time.
*NOTE: the adult mindfulness session will take place at the JBPHH Fitness Center, not at Bloch Arena. Session will be conducted during the same time as the youth basketball clinic.
Two sessions will be available:
Session 1: 9 a.m.–12 p.m.
Lunch: 12–1 p.m. (provided for all participants for both sessions)
Session 2: 1–4 p.m.
Registration is accepted at the Youth Sports Office located in Bloch Arena, in-person or via phone/email.
All MWR/CYP eligible patrons can register starting June 13 for both sessions on a first come, first served basis.
