Summer Reading Program

This year's theme is LEVEL UP AT YOUR LIBRARY

 

Sign up at https://pearlharborhickam.beanstack.org. Kids 13 and over may self-register. Parents must register all children under 13, and they may register their children in the group they feel is appropriate to their reading level. Registration is open NOW. All ages may participate!

 

 

 

 

EVENT SCHEDULE

May 31 (Saturday) - Start logging your minutes on Beanstack!
 
Jun 4 and Jul 2 (Wednesday) - Chess Free Play, open to all ages 
2–3 p.m.
Bring a friend and level up your chess skills 

Jun 5 and Jul 3 (Thursday) - BYOC (Bring Your Own Craft) Night, for ages 18 and up
6–7 p.m.
Enjoy the camaraderie of fellow crafters 

Jun 7 (Saturday) - SUMMER READING PROGRAM KICKOFF, open to all ages
11 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
It's all fun and outdoor games at the library during our kickoff party for the program
 
Jun 10 (Tuesday) - Family Game Night Unplugged, open to all ages, families
5:30–7 p.m.
Put down your screens and play old schoool board games at the library 

Jun 14, 28 and Jul 12 (Saturday) - PoGo Walk, for ages 6 and up (child must be accompanied by parent)
10 a.m.
Grab supplies at the stops or battle at the Gyms as we explore the neighborhood around the library.  Bring your own device, a hat, sunscreen and water

Jun 19 and Jul 17 (Thursday) - Shut Up and Read! for ages 13–17
3–4 p.m.
No pressure Teen Book Club.  Grab a snack at the desk, find a spot to read, talk, or just hang out.

Jun 20 and Jul 18 (Friday) - Building Block Challenge, for ages 6 and up
3–4 p.m.
Level up your building skills and get creative with the day's challenge

Jun 26 (Thursday) - Daytime Playtime, for ages 18 months and under, with parent
10 a.m.
Parents and caregivers, bring baby for an hour of unstructured play before the library opens

Jun 26 (Thursday) - Quiet Book Club, for ages 18 and up
6 p.m.
Read in quiet community with others who enjoy reading in solitude

Jul 1 (Tuesday) - S'moreytime, open to all ages, families
6 p.m.
Wear your pj's and join your librarians at this camp-themed storytime

Jul 9 (Wednesday) - Firefighter Storytime, open to all ages, families
10 a.m.
Meet the people who help keep us safe

July 26 (Saturday) - Finale Party: Magic Show with Glen Bailey, open to all ages, families
11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Two shows to end our Reading Program!  Back by popular demand, magician extraoridnaire Glen Bailey entertains you all
